Introduction :

The Department of Radiodiagnosis at Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS), Bilaspur is a fully equipped and well-established centre providing comprehensive diagnostic imaging services. With excellent infrastructure and state-of-the-art technology, the department plays a pivotal role in high-quality patient care, medical education, and clinical research.
The department offers a wide range of imaging facilities and image-guided interventional procedures. All services are delivered by an experienced team of faculty, residents, and trained technical staff committed to accurate diagnosis, timely reporting, and patient-centric care.
As an integral part of CIMS Bilaspur, the Department of Radiodiagnosis provides robust training for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, nurturing academic excellence and clinical competence. Courses Offered -
Postgraduate (3 seats) - MD Radiodiagnosis & Imaging - 3 Year Course

1. Digital Radiography (DR) Units for high-quality X-ray imaging.
2. Ultrasound and Colour Doppler with multiple machines for routine and specialised studies.
3. 128 slice CT Scan Services with advanced applications (Cardiac & other angiography, 3D reconstruction, HRCT, contrast studies, Triple phase studies).
4. 3 Tesla MRI Services with comprehensive neuro, musculoskeletal, abdominal, and pelvic imaging capabilities.
5. Fluoroscopy X Ray Units for contrast-enhanced GI and genitourinary studies.
6. Mammography facility for breast imaging and cancer screening.
7. Image-Guided Interventional Procedures such as FNAC, biopsies, drainage, and catheter placements.
8. PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) for digital storage, retrieval, and reporting.
9. Dedicated Reporting Rooms with advanced workstations.
10. Well-equipped Student Demonstration Room for UG and PG teaching.
11. Round-the-clock Emergency Radiology Services including trauma imaging.
12. Experienced Faculty, Residents, and Technical Staff ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient imaging.
13. Radiation Safety Measures as per AERB norms with regular quality assurance checks.
14. Spacious Waiting and Patient Preparation Areas for comfortable workflow.
